Born on the test tracks, the Blade III Pit Bike follows the line of top-end Blades. The Blade III along with Blade II, share one unique component - the "Alientech" frame. This frame was designed from ground-up to be stronger, take 'hits' harder, and to provide riders with as much feedback as possible.

The Blade III linkage system allows the swing arm to travel further and take 'hits' harder. One more part that needed tweaking was the engine. The 140cc Lifan power plant is one of the most highly regarded in the industry with its large valves and the ability to kick-start in any gear. It is any true racer's "weapon of choice". Leaner power delivery of the 140cc engine provides constant predictable power flow, which is most needed when coming up to ramps and out of tight corners. If you thought Blade I is great, wait till you ride Blade II!! In dictionary, there is only one word that can describe a feeling when riding Blade II - its psychotic. The Blade II has a true rush of power, performance and, for 2007, a twin spar frame that "blow you out of the water".

Stronger, lighter than before, the newly designed linkage system for the rear suspension increases the travel even further. To keep things smooth, as your are "flying at close to light speed", is the 38mm fully adjustable fork backed with a Fastace fully adjustable rear shock.

The final modification to the bike was the change of the engine. We spoke to the Team at Zongshen Motors wanting attain one of their most reliable and potent motors, but we were not happy with its performance. We knew - engine needed a carby that would "run the show". After many hours of performance testing and comparison using Dyno equipment, the partnership of carby and the engine was finalised.

Wow!! This one will take you for a true joy ride. Its not the raw speed. The engine has been carried over from previous model with minor revisions to the gear box. Now what makes this year's ES125B truly stand out is the frame and suspension set up.

Elstar Blade runs on 38mm Upside Down suspension with a massive 180mm of travel leads the way in strength and durability. Suspension's unique coating will ensure that seals will hold up to any obstacles. The rear FastAce shock absorber performs well, may be an overkill for some but we are not taking any chances. Simple and easy on-the-fly adjustment means you can simply adjust shock absorber by hand rather than using toolkit. The tubular design frame is strong but, as in most of our family of bikes, remains ultra light.

Overall, the Blade will give the "big boys" such as Thumpstar and Provert a huge run for the money.
